How likely is it to get pregnant on your first cycle using Clomid? I had bloodwork on day 21, my doctor says my progesterone level is 12 and that I did ovulate this month. My period would be due tomorrow and I've had nausea and breast tenderness.
The chance of conceiving in the first month on Clomid, assuming there are no other issues in the couple, is roughly 25%. Assuming that there are no other fertility issues, a couple can expect to conceive in three to six months on Clomid. If the Clomid is being given for anovulation in the female, and it is corrected, then the average time is 3 to 6 months. If the Clomid is being given for a couple with infertility of unknown origin there is a 30% success rate in the first few months. Those who don't conceive should then consult a Reproductive Endocrinologist for further evaluation or assisted reproduction.
